The C of C Men’s Rugby Team fought a brave game against a dominant Alumni team this weekend. The current squad lost out to the old boys by 30, but put up some solid stands. The final count was 37-7. Inside center Ben Tomkins’ determined run not only landed in the try-zone, it put C of C on the board late in the game giving them something to build on as UNC-Charlotte comes to town this Saturday for a 3pm kickoff at The Yard in James Island. C of C’s starting scrummy Jon Sussingham earned Man of the Match for his gutsy performance against a heavy-hitting Alumni team. The future of the C of C Men’s Rugby Club looks bright.
